Lyrics

I left the farm when daddy left his home
Never looked back until I was long gone
This noisy world keeps me asking if I was wrong
Got a great life but man this roads been long
And I know that’s more than some...

I miss the Sunday morning church bells
That feeling that we belong
I miss the late summer haze when the combines rolled along
I’m so damn lucky man, those memories gave me it all
And I’m building some new ones, from daddy’s farm

Too many suits, ties, and righteous cons
Artificial ‘this and that’, where does our food come from?
All the labels I recall said love and made by mom
Nothing’s more real than growing up on the farm
And I know that’s more than some....

You never know it’s the right road until the next one comes along
You never know when all you need, is written in a song
And I know that’s more than some....

And I’m building some new ones
I’m building a new home
I’m spending my memories from my daddy’s farm
